Joao Angelo Fantini is a Professor in the Federal University of Sao Carlos/Brazil and Honorary Research Fellow in Birkbeck College. Mercedes Lovrecic, MD, PhD is psychiatrist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in neuropsychofarmacological treatment of addiction and psychiatric comorbidity and epidemiology of addiction. In 2002 in Oslo (Norway) she received “Chimera Award” by EUROPAD and in 2009 in New York (USA) Nyswander-Dole “Marie” Award by American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD). She is working at National Institute of Public Health and is head of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine Center at Health Center of Izola. Former National Focal Point for REITOX-EMCDDA (2002-2009). Former member of management Board of the EMCDDA. Former national member and president of the Horizontal Working Group on Drugs in Brussels during the Presidency of Slovenia to the Council of the EU (2007-2008).

Professor WK Tang was appointed to clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry, the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. Professor Tang completed his medical training at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong as an academic staff since 1999. His other Academic profile is Honorary Consultant and Repute of Hospital Authority. His main research area is Neuropsychiatry in Stroke and other core research interests are substance abuse and post natal abuse. Professor Tang has published over 100 papers in renowned journals, and has also contributed to the peer review of 40 journals. He has secured over 20 major competitive research grants. He has served the editorial boards of five scientific journals. He was also a recipient of the Young Researcher Award in 2007, awarded by the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Insop Shim is presently working as professor in the Department of Medical Science, College of Korean Medicine at Kyung Hee University, South Korea. He obtained his Ph.D from the University of Illinois. He has authored several articles and book chapters. He is a member of many professional societies.

Dr. Insop Shim’s research interest includes Neural mechanisms underlying stress response; Behavioral neuroscience; Neural mechanisms of drugs of abuse, motivational behaviors; Neurodegenerative diseases; Parkinson' disease, Alzeheimer, Ischemia Learning and Memory; Functional Neuroanatomy and Development of new drugs or stem cells for neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Noroozi was graduated as a psychiatrist in 2006. Since then, he has been working as a treatment officer and then as the head of Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Office (SAPTO), Mental Health Social Health and Addiction Department (MeHSHAD), in the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. He is also affiliated to the Iranian National Center for Addiction Studies (INCAS) and has worked as INCAS Knowledge Hub's manager for Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association (MENAHRA) till 2013. He has been led development of some national drug treatment protocols and his fields of interest in addiction are alcohol and drug demand reduction interventions and evaluations.
